It is his responsibility to identify and resolve safety and security issues of concern to those who live, work, socialize and go to school in the community of Shawnessy. He also facilitates the flow of information between the police and the community and acts as an information source for community members. Feel free to contact A/Sgt. The Calgary Police Service is advising the public to be mindful of their purses and wallets when shopping at grocery stores in the Shawnessy area. Thieves have been stealing these items from unsuspecting shoppers that place their wallets and purses inside their shopping carts. Be sure to hang your purse on your shoulder and keep your wallet in your pocket, so as to not give these thieves any opportunity.
